Debate on Members' Legislative Proposals
Once
every half term on a Wednesday, a 30-minute slot is allocated to debate an
individual Member’s legislative proposals. Business Committee select a motion
for debate a week before the debate is scheduled.
Motions
can include proposals for any type of new legislation within the Assembly’s
legislative competence, including Bills, Statutory Instruments, Orders in
Council, and new devolved taxes.
