Legislative Consent Motion on the Digital Economy Bill

To propose that
the National Assembly for Wales, in accordance with Standing Order 29.6 agrees that
provisions in the Digital Economy Bill, relating to data sharing in so far as
they fall within the legislative competence of the National Assembly for Wales,
should be considered by the UK Parliament.
A Legislative
Consent Memorandum has been laid in Table Office on 24 November 2016 in
accordance with Standing Order 29.2(i). A Supplementary Legislative
Consent Memorandum has been laid in Table Office on 3 March 2017 in accordance
with Standing Order 29.2(i).

Minutes:
Business Committee considered a paper from the
government regarding a Supplementary Legislative Consent Memorandum (SLCM) in
relation to the Digital Economy Bill.
Business Managers agreed to refer the SLCM to the
Equality, Local Government and Communities Committee for scrutiny. The Business
Committee also agreed that the Committee should report on the LCM by Monday 13
March to allow the Legislative Consent Motion to be debated in Plenary on
Tuesday 14 March 2017.

Memorandum (LCM) in relation to the Digital Economy Bill.
Business Managers agreed to
refer the LCM to the Equality, Local Government and Communities Committee for
scrutiny. The Business Committee also agreed that the Committee should report
on the LCM by Thursday 19 January 2017 to allow the Legislative Consent Motion
to be debated in Plenary on Tuesday 24 January 2017.
