About you

Individual

1      The Bill’s general principles

1.1     Do you support the principles of the Children (Abolition of Defence of Reasonable Punishment) (Wales) Bill?

— No

1.2     Please outline your reasons for your answer to question 1.1

(we would be grateful if you could keep your answer to around 1000 words)

Parents must be able to use their wisdom, experience and discretion in the raising of their children. If you remove a parents ability to use reasonable punishment as we deem fit, we will have a generation of totally unruly children who

have never learnt that there  are consequences of misbehaving and being disobedient.

We are already seeing a lack of respect for parents and for teachers since all these new laws prohibiting teachers and parents from smacking children. I totally agree that a child should never be hit in anger or abused in any way, but this is not whats under debate, this is taking away the authority of a loving parent to disciple their child in love.

1.3     Do you think there is a need for legislation to deliver what this Bill is trying to achieve?

(we would be grateful if you could keep your answer to around 1000 words)

There is no need for this bill

2      The Bill’s implementation

2.1     Do you have any comments about any potential barriers to  implementing the Bill? If no, go to question 3.1

(we would be grateful if you could keep your answer to around 1000 words)

This bill should not even be considered

2.2     Do you think the Bill takes account of these potential barriers?

(we would be grateful if you could keep your answer to around 1000 words)

-

3      Unintended consequences

3.1     Do you think there are there any unintended consequences arising from the Bill? If no, go to question 4.1

(we would be grateful if you could keep your answer to around 1000 words)

Yes many good loving parents, in fact the countries best and most loving parents including most christian parents could potentially be fined, imprisoned and have their children taken away and their children raised by the state who doesnt love or care about them at all, the consequences could be devastating

4      Financial implications

4.1     Do you have any comments on the financial implications of the Bill (as set out in Part 2 of the Explanatory Memorandum)? If no, go to question 5.1

(we would be grateful if you could keep your answer to around 1000 words)

There would be huge costs involved in prosecuting innocent families and a huge burden on the state to police it.

There are already plenty of laws in place to prevent child abuse this is becoming ridiculous, taking away all parental rights.

5      Other considerations

5.1     Do you have any other points you wish to raise about this Bill?
