3       Wales Bill: Legal briefing

3.1 Committee Members received a legal briefing on the Wales Bill.




4       Scrutiny of the Cabinet Secretary of Economy & Infrastructure: Priorities for the Fifth Assembly

4.1 The Cabinet Secretary responded to questions from members of the Committee and agreed to provide further information on:


Ø  Historic Wales – how it will work and what its remit will be;

Ø  The new museum plan for Wales;

Ø  The ‘Fusion’ and ‘arts and creative learning’ programmes;

Ø  The ‘Media Forum’, including its forward work programme.




5       Wales Bill: Evidence from the Office of the Welsh Language Commissioner

5.1 Officials from the Welsh Language Commissioner’s Office responded to questions from members of the Committee.




6       Scrutiny of the Minister for Lifelong Learning and Welsh Language: Priorities for the Fifth Assembly

6.1 The Minister responded to questions from members of the Committee and agreed to:


Ø  Provide further information on the timetable for the Welsh language strategy;

Ø  Ask the Cabinet Secretary for Education to provide a note on the remit of the Donaldson Review in relation to the Welsh language through education continuum;

Ø  Provide further information on the division of responsibility for the Welsh language between the Minister and the Cabinet Secretary for Education.
